Jetour launches Freedom 7 (T1) range in China with 9 trims and a 150 km PHEV
Chery's Jetour launched the updated T1, sold in China as the Freedom 7 and Freedom 7 Plus C-DM, with list prices from RMB 113,900 (about USD 17,030) and a plug-in hybrid offering 150 km of CLTC electric range.
Jetour, part of Chery, launched its updated T1 boxy SUV range in China on November 4 under the names Freedom 7 and Freedom 7 Plus C-DM. There are 9 trims: 4 with a 1.5T front-wheel-drive petrol engine, 2 with a 2.0T all-wheel-drive engine and 3 plug-in hybrids.
List prices start at RMB 113,900 (about USD 17,030) for the 1.5T and reach RMB 159,900 (about USD 23,900) for the 2.0T Plus. The C-DM plug-in hybrid is listed from RMB 129,900 to RMB 149,900 (about USD 19,420 to 22,410). A limited-time trade-in offer lowers the entry price to RMB 89,900 (about USD 13,440).
The 1.5T engine delivers 135 kW (181 hp) with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while the 2.0T makes 187 kW (251 hp) and uses BorgWarner all-wheel drive. The C-DM pairs a 1.5T engine with a dedicated hybrid transmission and a 26.6 kWh battery for 150 km of CLTC electric range and a claimed 1,300 km combined range.
The standard T1 is 4,749 mm long with a 2,800 mm wheelbase and 600 mm wading depth; Plus versions are 4,796 mm long with 200 mm ground clearance. A 15.6-inch screen runs Chery's system with DeepSeek and iFlytek voice models. Jetour said its boxy SUV family has passed 840,000 global sales, including more than 222,000 T1 units, and the model is already sold in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
