Denza sets November 12 launch for new N8 EV with up to 1,003 km range
BYD's Denza will launch the all-electric N8 SUV on November 12 in Shenzhen, with a 130.15 kWh Blade Battery and a tri-motor version rated at 890 kW.

Denza, BYD's premium brand, will officially launch the new N8 on November 12 at 7 pm Beijing time at BYD's headquarters in Pingshan, Shenzhen. Pre-orders opened on October 26 with a RMB 2,000 (about $299) deposit; prices have not yet been announced.
The N8 name returns as a 5-seat battery-electric SUV. The original N8 went on sale in August 2023 as a 6- and 7-seat plug-in hybrid and was dropped less than a year later. The new model sits alongside the 6-seat N8L, which gained a BEV version in September 2026.
The SUV measures 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,075 mm wheelbase. Rear-drive versions offer 320 kW or 370 kW, while the tri-motor version on the e3 platform combines 270 kW at the front with 2 rear motors of 310 kW each for 890 kW in total.
The largest second-generation Blade Battery has a capacity of 130.15 kWh and gives up to 1,003 km of CLTC range, with other versions rated at 970, 840 and 800 km. Flash charging is quoted at about 5 minutes for a usable charge and 9 minutes for a near-full charge. Equipment includes God's Eye 5.0 driver assistance, DiSus-A air suspension, rear-wheel steering, a 1.1 m head-up display and a 30-inch screen.
