BYD's Denza N9 gets all-electric version with 890 kW tri-motor setup in MIIT filing
A filing with China's industry ministry shows a battery-electric Denza N9 large SUV with 3 motors producing 890 kW (1,194 hp), 5- and 6-seat layouts and an LFP battery from BYD's FinDreams.

An all-electric version of the Denza N9, BYD's premium large SUV, appeared in the 413th catalogue batch published for public comment by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on November 4. The comment period runs until November 10, a step before the model can go on sale.
The filing lists a tri-motor all-wheel-drive layout with a 270 kW front motor and 2 rear motors of 310 kW each, for a combined 890 kW (1,194 hp). That is more than the 680 kW of the current N9 plug-in hybrid flash charging edition. Top speed is 240 km/h.
The SUV measures 5,270 mm long, 2,030 mm wide and 1,830 mm high, with a 3,125 mm wheelbase, and is listed with 5- and 6-seat layouts. Curb weight is 3,105 kg or 3,180 kg depending on version. The 2 filed versions differ mainly in their braking systems: one uses BYD FinDreams integrated braking, the other Bosch components.
The battery uses LFP cells from FinDreams; capacity, range and charging speed were not disclosed. The model is built on BYD's e3 platform, shared with the Denza Z9 GT. The N9 is currently sold only as a plug-in hybrid, with the flash charging edition priced from RMB 409,800 (about USD 61,260).
