BYD launches 2nd-gen Seal 07 from RMB 139,900 with 9-minute flash charging
The larger second-generation Seal 07 sedan is now on sale in China in BEV and DM-i plug-in hybrid versions, priced from RMB 139,900 (about $20,900).

BYD has launched the second-generation Seal 07 in China, about 8 months after the first-generation car received its last update. Prices start at RMB 139,900 (about $20,900) for the DM-i plug-in hybrid, which tops out at RMB 149,900 (about $22,400). The all-electric version costs RMB 149,900 to 172,900 (about $22,400 to $25,800).
The sedan has grown to 5,080 mm in length with a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Styling follows BYD's Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 language seen on the Seal 08, and a roof-mounted LiDAR supports the God's Eye B driver assistance system with navigation on autopilot.
The BEV uses a 245 kW rear motor and a 76.7 kWh Blade 2.0 LFP battery for 775 km of CLTC range and 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. With BYD's flash charging, the battery goes from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes.
The DM-i pairs a 1.5-litre engine with a 160 kW front motor and a 38 kWh battery rated at 330 km of electric range. Higher trims get DiSus-M magnetorheological suspension, previously reserved for Denza and Fang Cheng Bao models.
